Aaliyah Daniel Haughton shot to stardom in 1994 with her debut album Age Ain't Nothing but a Numer. When she was just 15 the album was awarded Gold standing. R. Kelly heavily influenced the group and helped bring the singer up to the top of the charts. In 1996, she collaborated with Jermaine Dpri as well as Timbaland in her sophomore studio album One In A Million, which featured the #1 hit single If Your Girl Knew. With the release of this work Aaliyah won international acclaim for her work as an R&B performer. In 2000, she appeared in the romance and action film Romeo Must Die alongside martial arts legend Jet-Li. Joel Silver, a film producer, who was attending an award show in which she was cast, noticed her. She was cast in the film based on Anne Rice, a vampire movie Queen of the Damned, which was released in 2002. Then she was introduced to the Matrix with her role as Zee on The Matrix Sequels having also performed as a character in The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 as well as The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. She was nominated four times for the Grammy Awards, including 1999, 2001 and 2002. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. Aarti Mann is an Indian-American from the first generation who was born in Connecticut. Mann is her stage name. It is an acronym for Mankad her surname when she married. Aarti Magnumdar, her official name, but she also uses Aarti Magumdar. While her initial professional career was mostly dominated by small movie and TV parts, she gained notoriety in the late 2000s. The actress has also been featured in Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy as well as Grey's Anatomy. The commercials she has done have been for major brands, such as Volvo. Her daughter who lives in Los Angeles and is pursuing her acting.
